Mr. and Mrs. Morris B. Taylor Jr. of Scrabble Road, Castleton have purchased John Shipman’s Wholesale Bakery in Sperryville aiv’ the Taylor family, including their four children; Heather Hensley, Stuart Hensley, Robert Swann and Morris Thylor III are working hard at building the business Mr. Shipman started located at 15 Main Street across from the rescue squad.
At present they are working hard, cleaning and repairing the building in order to qualify for a state health license. Their future, according to Mrs. Taylor, looks bright and in the near future hope to be able to retail cakes, cookies, pies and other pastries.
Also their plans call for the retailing of pizzas, small and large, with all the toppings. "God willing our hard work and dreams for Mill House Baking Company, of which Mr. Taylor is president, will become real," says Mrs. Taylor.
Mrs. Marylou Taylor is also culinary teacher at Rappahannock County High School.
F. T. Baptist Church, here on Route 707 hosted the "Deane Family" singers from Stanardsville on Sunday evening and refreshments were served.
