Photo courtesy ot Ray Cannon OUT-OF-THE-ATTIC: This photo was taken in 1942 of Ead Payton in front of the store owned and operated by Ray T. Cannon at Castleton. Mr. Cannon told us that everyday Mr. Payton would stop by to buy cigarettes. It was also known that often Mr. Payton would go to sleep on his horse, however, the horse would ride right up to the store and people at the store would go out and wake Mr. Payton up.
