unlikely to meet the requirements af the Standard Diploma may, with his or her parents and the IEP team, opt for a Modified Standard Diplomat Beginning with the ninth grade class of 2000-2001, students opting for this diploma will have to pass certain lifer eracy and numeracy competency tests, and will need four credits i$ English, three in math, two in science, two in history and social studies, two in health and physical education, one in fine or practical artiy and six electives to graduate.
