Education
Conferences and forums are offered year-round in the Northern Virginia area and are open to families and professionals, focusing on various aspects of Alzheimer’s disease, including increased knowledge of the disease, research, care of Alzheimer’s patients and coping strategies. The Chapter also provides a Speakers Bureau, in addition to skill-building training to family caregivers and professional staff from long-term care facilities. Moreover, the Chapter’s resource library is open to the public and houses more than 300 books, periodicals and journals, and nearly 100 videos.
