QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the company’s Quality Assurance program at our ELKWOOD facility, the QC Inspector will be responsible for performing precision mechanical inspection of machined parts and sheet metal, and for testing and inspecting machinery during assembly process, and when completed to ensure product is built to specifications, using variety of testing devices and procedures to improve and maintain product quality; marking parts for acceptance or rejection; collecting and recording results of inspections and testing to maintain record of product quality, and issuing engineering chance requests. This full-time hourly position interacts closely with the manufacturing department and engineering department.
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified applicants will have prior experience as inspector of electro/ mechanical machinery and/or precision parts to established workmanship standards, will be fully skilled in operation of coordinate measuring machine, micrometers, gauges, vernier calipers; be fully proficient in blueprint reading and shop math skills as well as excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills. Demonstrated technical writing skills are strongly preferred as is AutoCad experience.
