In fact, one-in-four persons in Northern Virginia is a member of a racial or ethnic minority, and nearly one-in-seven is foreign born. The Chapter’s multicultural outreach serve the culturally sensitive needs of individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-impairments. Outreach efforts focus on Hispanic, Vietnamese, Korean and the African American communities.
