Mayor Willis said that he wanted the Town Couhcil to consider the offer, and that he would investigate possible locations for the bust as well as the cost of a plaque, a stone pedestal, and installation.
Six-Year Road Plan requests
Mayor Willis reported that he had requested VDOT's consideration for a number of Town road-related improvements in their next Six-Year Plan. The areas in which support was requested are: completion of sidewalk repairs on Jett, Gay, and Middle Streets; improvement of the shoulder on Main Street to provide greater safety to pedestrians; and improvement of storm drains in areas including Jett and Main Streets, Middle and Porter
