Congratulations and heartfelt thanks
to all who played their many roles so effectively to ensure that the recent forest fire was turned back before it injured people or destroyed buildings in Rappahannock County.
I had the opportunity to meet many people in our Fire and Rescue companies during this event, and I found them without exception to be concerned, caring and competent. I believe that any tendency to take them for granted has been dispelled for a long time to come. They deserve every dollar a grateful community will give them.
