Corp. Cpl. Ryan Oyster who was recently promoted to his present rank. He is serving with Second Assault Amphibian Battalion, Marine Corp Base in Camp Lejeune, N.C. Cpl. Oyster is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Oyster of Castleton and graduated from Rappahannock High School in 1998.
Our prayers go out for Mrs. Judith Meredith of Reva who remains a patient in University . of Virginia Hospital following a tragic automobile accident which took the life of a four year old boy. Mrs. Meredith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James (Billy) Nicholson of Castleton Ford Road.
Were glad to report Mr. Albert Goodall is home, recuperating following an extended stay in University of Virginia Hospital and Elder Nelson Pettit has returned to his home in New Market, following triple by-pass surgery in a Fairfax Hospital. Both men covet our prayers.
Mrs. Shirley Hitt of Castleton, Miss Mary Tharp and Mrs. Rosie Wharton of Aaron Mountain Road attended the surprise party for Harvey Tharp on Saturday, Nov. 3 in Culpeper honoring him on his 65th birthday.
Condolences go out to Mrs. Peggy Ward upon the passing of her father, Herman Holt on Saturday, Nov. 4.
