• As confusing as the recent election events have been, this is truly an amazing and historical time for all of us, particularly our children.’ Most of them are witnessing things they will never see again in their lifetimes. The Millennium, the biggest fire ip Shenandoah National Park in recent history, the closest presidential election of the century!
Encourage your children to pay attention to the news reports and discuss them with them. Regarding the presidential race, the ultimate goal is for the fairest possible resolution of the recent election, and this writer is sure that we will eventually achieve that, gs painful as the process may be for all of us!
• The National Education Association encourages all parents and other friends of education to help celebrate American Education Week, Nov. 12-18. (Wednesday, Nov. 15, is Education Support Personnel Day, secretaries, nurses, bus drivers, custodians, athletic director, cafeteria staff, coaches).
