of Leonard Cowherd, who graduated from WCDS in 1999, went on to graduate from West Point and was killed last spring while serving his country in Iraq. Mrs. Grove then introduced Robert Darby of Woodville, who gave the Veteran’s Day address. Mr. Darby graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland in 1959 and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy, during which time he served aboard two destroyers and a submarine.
