A dream came true
Cole McKenry traveled a long road to Sperryville and achieving her dream of having her own antiques business. McKenry was bom in Virginia Beach and graduated from American University with a degree in Accounting. She spent the first five years after college working for Price Waterhouse/ Cooper, then known as Coopers & Lybrand, as an auditor.
After earning her CPA and tiring of the long hours, she took an internship with the Kennedy Center with the goal of becoming a Development Professional.
After the internship, McKenry was hired at the Kennedy Center, first to raise money for the center, going on to manage the fundraising for the National Symphony Orchestra for the next five years.
She left the Center to take a position as a Major Gifts Officer
