Let me educate you on some facts about area taxes. Fauquier County tax base is $.99, Culpeper $.89, Orange $.84, Warren $.79 and Madison is $.59. Speaking of Madison County with the lowest tax base, three years ago they replaced their track, which is separate from the football field. It is State of the Art. They have the rubberized surface and hold track meets there. The cost was $150,000. They used local people, and they have brand new Bermuda Grass Football and Baseball Turf at a cost of $7500.00. The parents prepped the field and Southern Turf came in and laid it out. ALL LOCAL FOLKS! The football complex has lights and stadium bleachers.
