Every process can be improved to some degree, but it usually requires another set of eyes, whether in-house or from outside. The keys to enhancing organizational effectiveness are letting people know what is expected of them and how they are going to be evaluated, and most importantly, to provide help to enable them to improve. A healthy organization, said Anderson, begins with the tone and direction set at the top. People are excited about coming to work every day. They also fee1 part of a team and have a clear sense of their role within an organization and how it contributes to its success. There is an openness to new ideas. Change and continuous improvement are the norm. John Anderson currently commutes into Washington, D.C. but is thinking about spending more time in Rappahannock County.
