FREE Food Every Month

What is it? Additional food to add to your kitchen pantry based on the number of people in your family. ' '

When is it? November 17, Thursday 4-6 p.m.

Where is it? Washington Baptist Church, 180 Gay Street, Washington.

Families that are income eligible or that receive Food Stamps, Medicaid and/or

SSI will automatically qualify to receive USDA Food Commodities.

Registration & Distribution will be first come - first serve

November 17: RappFlow meeting

On Thursday November 17 at 7 p.m. is the regular monthly meeting of the Rappahannock Friends and Lovers of Our Watershed (RappFLOW). All are welcome to participate. Major agenda items will include the land owner questionnaire on watershed issues; planning Upper Thornton Watershed study groups; Hazel River Tier III nomination; county grant proposal to DCR; new map-based web pages; and topics you bring to the meeting.

November 18: Cinderella Man

The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community presents Russell Crowe in “Cinderella Man” starting at 8 p.m. at the Theatre in Washington. It will make you cheer!

November 19: Piedmont Softball Association fund raising breakfast

Piedmont Softball Association will be having a fundraising breakfast Saturday, November 19, from 6 a.m. through noon at Bill Payne Auction Gallery, US 211, Amissville. The menu will feature biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, and fried apples, as well as coffee, juice, milk, and water.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast will cost $6.00; kids 4-10 years old will be charged $3.; and children 3 and under eat free. Takeout will be available. Everyone is welcome!
