Maybe that goes just a bit too far. Once, I did turn in a paper in a creative writing class, and the smart aleck professor, not liking the position I was defending, scrawled these words across the top in big red letters, “Mr. Brady, you seem to have the ability to convince the reader of the profundity of your position, when there is nothing profound about it.”
I did get a good grade on the paper and in the course, but, I’m pretty sure I was insulted.
