Times Community Newspapers, the largest local newspaper group in Northern Virginia, is looking for a retail distribution manager for Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. This manager will be responsible for maintaining a visible presence for our weekly newspapers at newsstands, retail stores, vending and rack locations and other high-traffic places such as Metro stations and bus stops. This individual will work to increase outlets where papers are available, will maintain and improve retailer relationships, enhance retail position and point of purchase displays, and manage draws and returns.
The person also will recruit, train and supervise route drivers, and will be responsible for maintaining appropriate condition of company-owned racks and vending machines in the field.
Work-related experience to include, but not be limited to, three to five years experience in distribution, retail and/or route sales, solid written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
