PLANNER, TRANSPORTATION
Transportation Services Job duties include: creation of reports on various traffic scenarios using GIS and computer modeling software including travel demand forecasting models; analysis and summarization of computer model outputs; monitoring consultant work; review and written analysis of transportation-related issues in land development applications; transportation planning and related proffer activities; contract administration; answering inquiries from citizens, development applicants, other agencies and County administration. Requires minimum of Bachelor's degree in Planning, Transportation or related field and at least two years of related work experience. BS in engineering preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the job. Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training designation preferred. Must be a team player, proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Land Management Information System (LMIS), transportation modeling software packages, and have good verbal and written communication skills.
