Youth Outreach Coordinator

Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Position will be responsible for various outreach programs including court ordered community service for youth, mentoring programs, and after school programs in targeted communities. Position will also supervise staff and volunteers and develop outreach program to recruit new particpants. Apply for and manage grants and donations and oversee program budget. Successful candidate must have experience in crisis intervention with high risk juveniles; demonstrated expertise in successful partnering with other agencies; possess strong organizational skills; and experience working with at-risk youth in a recreational setting. Work schedule requires evening and weekend hours. Requires Bachelors degree in related field with three years experience working with high risk juveniles which must include one year of experience supervising staff. Prefer one year experience managing grants. Must obtain Non-Violent Physical Crisis Intervention and Restraint certification within 6 months of hire. CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINEE

Times community Newspapers is looking for a full-time individual to provide customer service and administrative support to the circulation department. This person will work closely with and report directly to the Circulation Administrator.

Responsibilities will include answering telephones, responding to subscriber inquiries, resolving complaints and dispatching service calls. The candidate will be required to learn department workflow cycles and processes, and to provide daily hands-on assistance to the administrator and to other circulation staff.

We seek outgoing, reliable and dedicated persons with a desire to grow this position to higher levels of responsibility and compensation. You must have excellent communications skills - both verbal and written, know your way around a computer using Microsoft Word and Excel and the desire and ability to leam our newspaper fulfillment software system. We offer a comfortable office and convenient location in Old Town Warrenton. This is a 40 hour per week position offering medical/ dental and 401K, and accrued paid vacation time.
