Up 5-3 in the waning seconds of the 145-pound championship match, Allen thought the state title was his. But officials awarded Brown a takedown, which tied the match at 5, even though Brown was clearly out of bounds.
Then, during the overtime, Brown shot in at Allen’s legs. Officials called Allen for an illegal scissors move and awarded Brown a penalty point and the win.
