J Fto the first time in some 60 years, Rappahannock County's Confederate CMI War Memorial is being
refurbished. The marble-and-sandstone monument was built circa 1900 and stands next to the County
Administration office on Gay Street in the Town of Washington.
Washington, D C.-based Conservation Solutions Inc. is performing foe restoration, which will cost roughly
$36,000, The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection chipped in $4,500 for the cause and
