livestock awards
This year several members of the Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Club represented some of their best exhibits and took home several honors.
There were six exhibitors in the Livestock Show showing hogs. Caroline Massie took three hog awards, vanning 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. Tifihny Wayland . won Novice Showmanship and Fitting Grand Champion as well as a 7th place award. Taylor Yowell won 3rd place and 6th place while Kouitney Yowell won 5th dace and 7th place for their hogs. Alke Yowell won two 4th place awards and Amber Dodson won 4th jdace and 5th place.
Excellent exhibits
The homemade goods of more than 90 exhibitors were showcased throughout the week in the homemaker's building. Judges browsed through the many categories including decorated eggs, com crops, (tell collecting, bottle collection, scrap booking, drawing, wood working, canning, cakes, pies, brownies, biscuits and everything in between.

Platts aided in judging the numerous entries in the photography contest, flower contest and garden and crops contest She meticulously placed best in show ribbons on the best flower arrangement best dill specimen and prettiest sunflower.
Rappahannock contestant Cariy Day won a Best of Show award for her Watercolor Pointing in Fine Arts and other 1st and 2nd place ribbons.
"When you think of small towns, you think of people with flowers in their yard, working in their gardens," she said. "These flowers bring back a simpler time, that country lifestyle, and bringing nature inside your house.1*
