She also served as an assistant principal, guidance counselor and as a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher. She served as a lecturer and a principal's internship supervisor at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Greer also holds a North Carolina superintendent's license.
"I have worked in a lot of small schools and a lot of big schools,” Greer said. "I look forward to talking with and working with the people in the county."
Greer recently moved to a Town of Washington-area home and awaits her husband who is currently on the road as a hitting coach for the Kingsport Mets, a minor-league baseball team based in Tennessee.
"He hasn't been up here, except for pictures, but I think that he will love it when he gets here," Greer smiled.
"I've had a lot of enjoyable times in education in North Carolina and I am looking for many more enjoyable experiences in Rappahannock County," she said.
