Next week, the State

Corporation Commission will begin a series of public hearings at four different locations to gather public comments on Dominion Virginia Power’s proposed construction of a 500-kilovolt electric transmission line through Frederick, Warren, Rappahannock, Culpeper, Fauquier, Prince William and Loudoun counties, mostly along an existing power line.

The proposed towers would stand up to 165 feet tall and require a 50- to 150foot-wide right-of-way, in * addition to the existing one.
