get anynard storms tnat diow h over. We used some Preen around the tomato cages, and that seems to have helped keep the weeds down. I need to get on the internet or something and see if I can buy that stuff by the truckload.
The next big job, besides the tomatoes, is to get the potatoes dug. I think each year Fm going to find the right size plow and hook it behind my little tractor, and add the tire weights and the chains, and have Linda drive the tractor while I plow out the potatoes. I remember walking behind Unde Clarence’s mule when he would “bust” a new row of potatoes, and it was a glorious sight. Those old spuds would boil up out of the ground and I thought I could never get them picked up fast enough so he could turn that mule around before he ate all the com in the next row and come back down that row again. Some years we made 40 bushels of potatoes.
