Farm show history
Hie CMR Farm show started in the 1940s, bringing together farmers from three rural counties to compare notes and appreciate the simple things in life. Homemaker's building chairman Rebecca Beach was impressed by how the traditions of yesteryear are still felt at the Farm Show today.
1 showed back: in the 70s, so I think it's great fix the kids to continue,'’ Beach said "The baking and the canning is all what you do onyour farm and this is what you do in your spare time. You sew, you quih and these are the things that women used to do."
This is a time where people can remember their childhoods," Platts said "As a child most people here showed in the farm show and were involved in 4-H."
