About trus time every year l tell myself Fm not going to have a vegetable garden next year. My brother-in-law lets me have a garden inside his 10-foot high electric fence. That keeps out the deer and most of the bear, but it doesn’t do anything about stopping the weeds and the potato bugs and the com worms.

I start out all excited about getting the garden planted, and the early stuff starts coming up, and Fm hoeing and weeding and tilling and everything is going along just fine, and then something happens. I think it is the hot weather that causes the problem.

It’s not too much of a problem for the garden; it’s the effect that it has on me. I get wilted. Then, we have a couple of decent rains, and the next thing you know I can’t find the row of butterbeans for the hog weeds and morning glories. It’s much the same way with the sweet
