The Loudoun Hunt West will host a foxhunting clinic Aug. 4 at Valley View Farm in Purcellville starting at 8:30 a.m. There will be jumping and non-jumping groups for hunt hopefuls to practice riding skills. There will be classroom discussion and lectures, as well as mounted and unmounted sessions. The cost is $100 per rider. Register by calling (540) 338-2095.

The Rappahannock Hunt will host a foxhunting camp Aug. 19 at Grovespring Farm in Culpeper. Riders of all levels are invited to take part in the all-day clinic. Lessons begin at 9 a.m. in the arena. A puppy party!
The Old Dominion Hounds will hold an open house at their kennels in Orlean Aug. 4. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the free event. Featured will be two litters of hound puppies to play with, hunt horses to meet and many hunt professionals on hand to provide information about the sport. There will be food and drink.
