FRONT ROYAL, Va. (July 31,2007) - FETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. announces the grand opening of its new Front Royal store, located at 135 Crooked Run Plaza, Friday Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug. 12. Tire three-day event will feature pet adoptions and a variety of animal-related activities to welcome the community.
On Feline Friday, feline aficionados can enter their most photogenic felines in a cat photo contest, and the first 50 PAI.R customers will receive a free PETCO mouse pad.
On Saturday, the first 250 customers receive a free bag of dog, cat, or wild bird food. Pet parents can capture their pet’s character with free pet caricatures at noon, myl kids and their hamsters wiUv have a “ball" with Hamster Races at 2 p.m.
On Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 4 pun., customers will eqjqy a Big Dog Afternoon where the first 50 PALJ5. members will receive a free PETCO tote bag. Pooches and their parents will eryoy an afternoon filled with contests: Biggest Dog, Biggest Bark, Longest Tail, Best Dressed, Best Trick and Pet/Owner Look-A-Like.
The grand opening celebration will also offer free professional pet photography for the first 30 PAL.S. customers each day.
To highlight PETCO’s commitment to animal welfare, companion animals will be available throughout the weekend for adoption. PETCO encourages adoptions by offering new pet parents special Adoption Gift: Booklets with up to $350 in savings on PETCO products and services. To cash in on the savings, new pet parents simply bring their adoption papers to any PETCO location.
The new store follows PETCO’s Rover layout, which features a circular racetrack aisle and clearly identified departments to make shopping even more convenient and enjoyable. Companion animals will greet customers at the center of the store, and the grooming department will resemble a salon and day spa. The store also includes a “Think Adoption First” Resource Center and encourages PETCO customers to consider adoption before the purchase of any companion animal - even if it’s one of the lords, reptiles or small animals currently offered at PETCO.
