Final flight
After some 17 years, the end of an era of sophisticated dining came to a dose on Saturday evening in Flint Hill as Four and Twenty Blackbirds hosted their last dinner for over 60 old friends and customers. Chef Heide Morf and her husband, Vinnie Deluise, turned an old farmhouse in a tiny Rappahannock village into a popular destination for a distinguished and discriminating crowd of gourmet diners. But it was not only high profile names (Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Brooke Shields, Willard Scott and restaurant critics) who made the success of this restaurant but | the steady local area dientele who came for I dinners and their popular Sunday brunches. 1 And these are the folks who are going to miss
