bans smoking at
school events
For many years, The Rappahannock County School Board has banned use of tobacco on school property by employees and students.
Effective July 1, this ban was extended to school events.
Explained Superintendent Bob Chappell: “Our sole motivation in making this change is to eliminate second hand smoke from school facilities after school hours / during school events. By doing this we feel that we will help to protect students, employees and non-smoking members of the public from the health threat
