WARRENTON, VA - The Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution, Culpeper Minute Men Chapter will conduct the annual Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historcal Oration Contest on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the John Barton Payne Building in Courthouse Square, Old Town Warrenton. The contest is open to all students in the sophomore, junior and senior classes in the public, parochial, private and home-schools within the jurisdictions of Fauquier, Culpeper and Rappahannock Counties.
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter S.A.R. welcomes and encourages all interested students to participate in the Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Oration Contest to call attention to our American history of the Revolutionary period and its continued relevance; and to clearly illustrate how the Revolutionary War and contributions of our Founding Fathers created the foundation for the many freedoms we enjoy today.
