Mrs. Compton was predeceased by a daughter Lois Jean Compton, a grandson Timothy Lee Compton, a brother Garfield Wharton and a sister Nellie Utz
She was a lifelong member of Massonova Pentecostal church and Member of the Castleton Volunteer fire Department.
A funeral Service was held at the Massonova Pentecostal Church in Rappahannock County on Wednesday November 28, with the Reverend Lindsey Savage officiating. Interment was followed in Sperryville Cemetery.
The Pallbearers were her grandsons Marie Haines, Brian Haines, Wyatt Colvin, Brett Huff, Jessie Compton and Michael McCutchen.
