To explore the development of Virginia-based local and regional food systems and discuss a variety of local farm and food projects, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is hosting a one-day conference titled “Connecting Farms, Food and Communities - Developing the Producer, Market, Table Link” at Graves Mountain Lodge om Route 670. Conference is from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost of $20 includes lunch, refreshments and materials. Pre-registration is required and should be done by contacting the Rappahannock County Office at (540) 675-3619.

The Blue Ridge Chorale
On Friday, December 7, at 8 p.m. the Blue Ridge Chorale will present ”A Christmas Feast of Carols” at The Theatre in Washington, VA. The program begins with an instrumental prelude, followed by music reflecting the awe and joy of Christmas Eve. After the intermission, our Youth Choir will join in the festivities, there will be carols with the audience, and after several more festive offerings the celebration will conclude with Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. Here an there during the program Father Christmas will treat us to some poetry. This is a return engagement for the Blue Ridge Chorale.
