King Jr. Dream Keeper Awards
The Julia E. Bocldie Scholarship Committee invites the community to participate in the selection of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 'Dream Keeper* Awards in Rappahannock County for 2008. The deadline for nominations is December 10. There are 3 categories: 1) individual/adult 2)individual/student, and 3) business, organization. Nominees must be residents or relatives of residents of Rappahannock County. The awards will be presented during the 17th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration in Rappahannock on January 20,2008, at 4 p.m., at The Theatre, Gay St, Washington, VA. The Dream Keeper Awards is a means of celebrating the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King by recognizing the efforts of local individuals and organizations who aspire to the ideals that Dr. King spoke about lived, fought and died for.
