S.A.R. membership meeting and to compete in the State competition round hosted by the Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution.
The Virginia State winner will receive $500.00 from the Virginia Society and a medal noting their achievement. The Virginia Society winner will receive expenses paid to the national contest. The national contest scholarship awards will be $3000.00, $2000.00 and $ 1000.00 respectively for First, Second and Third-place finishers with an Olympic-size medal; all other national finalists will receive $300.00 and all other national contestants will receive $200.00. The national contest will be held Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the 118th Annual Congress of the S.A.R. in Sacramento, California.
The Virginia Society Sons of the American Revolution remember our obligations to our Forefathers who gave us our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, an Independent Supreme Court and a Nation of free men.
