life. I grew up in an isolated mid-sized dty in the Midwest. My mentor - an unofficial one - opened my eyes to the world beyond my narrow horizon. I know my life would have turned out very differently without my mentor.
What does the mentor get out of the relationship? The rewards are many; friendship with a growing boy, a sense of making a positive difference in someone’s life, and — in my case - an opportunity to remain young in spirit, if not in body.
