Students at Rappahannock County public schools will not have to make up the day they missed in October when a high schooler was diagnosed with a dangerous staph infection.
Rappahannock County high school and elementary school were closed on Oct. 10 after school officials received notice that a student had been diagnosed with a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, infection. The schools were disinfected that day to prevent spread of the potentially deadly bacteria.
