Scholarships and awards were presented to five members of the senior class. Tanya Brown received the Rappahannock Woman’s Club award; Debbie DeBergh, the Amissville Ruritan Club award; Melanie Burke, the Home Demonstration Club award, Marion Eastham, the Rappahannock Garden Club Scholarships; and Douglas Nichols, the Lions Club Scholarship for foreign travel.
A special award—The Principal’s Award—was presented to faculty member, Mrs. Jean Moffett, for her twenty-four years of service in the education field. A long standing ovation from the audience expressed their affirmation of her achievements.
