Stating that he knew of no proposal to combine EMR and TMR students, Eastham maintained that the only plan put forward by the school board involved dividing rooms.

Assistant superintendent Rob McDaniel explained that TMR students were acquired during the course of the year and without a separate teacher or room available, were included in the EMR class. The administration had asked for the waiver to continue the practice next year, he said.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard F. Shinkman of Boston and Davao City, the Philippines, are the parents of a daughter, Claire Amelia, born April 10, 1980, in Angeles City, Pampanga. the Philippines.

Mr. Shinkman is a diplomat with the U. S. foreign services in the Philippines.

Mrs. Paul Shinkman of Georgetown, Washington, D. C., is the grandmother of the infant.

Claire Amelia was christened Thursday, May 8 at Davao City. The service was conducted by the Right Rev. Constancio Manguramas, Prime Bishop of the Philippines, and was followed by a reception at the Shinkman home.

She was christened in the family heirloom robe which had been worn by her grandmother. Mrs. Paul Shinkman at her christening in London in 1907. The baby wore a necklace of Philippine cultured pearls and coral, a, gift of her grandmother.

The baby’s godparents are her maternal aunt, Mrs. Maureen Niemtus of Wardsville, Ontario, and Allan Ryan of Washington.
