Board member Robert Eastham announced that the school board had agreed not to use any of its left-over money this year, instead returning all surplus to the county treasury.
"Oh Mr. Eastham. you’re mistaken.” Mrs. Massie corrected, reminding him that the board had decided only that unspent funds for gas and oil left over next June from the proposed 1980-81 budget would be returned to the county’s general fund.
