Workshop
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold a Beekeeping Workshop and Annual Picnic on Saturday, June 14, Dr. Richard Fell, Assistant Professor of Entomology at VPI and Apiculturist, will conduct the workshop, which will begin at 2;00 p.m. at the home of Raymond Johnson, in Woodville, Va.
Lectures will include topics such as, ‘‘Honey Bee Communications and Orientations” ‘‘How and When to Move Bees,” “Methods of Removing Honey,” “The Swarm —Causes and How to Handle Them,” and “The Bee Tree—A Look at the Biology of the Natural Honey Bee."
