To the editor:
A sincere “thank you” to the people of Rappahannock who have subscribed to our Community Concert Series for the 1980-81 season. Because of your support we have more than met our goal in subscriptions. We have gained many new members.
Through the generosity of individuals, businesses and clubs, we will have a number of student memberships to present to Mrs. Donald Bomberger, music teacher in our county schools. These tickets will provide a cultural opportunity for some of our talented and interested students and will help to develop our audience and sponsors in the years to come.
Five counties, Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock, have formed this association to bring a concert series to our area. We have reciprocal agreements with the Community Concert Associations of Manassas and Fairfax.
During the past season, it was possible for our subscribers to attend 11 concerts for the price of our subscription. The same opportunity will be offered again this year.
With your enthusiastic support and that of the members in the other counties, our concert series will continue and as interest increases we can work for even finer programs.
In September, all subscribers will receive tickets for the coming season and a schedule of our three concerts. In addition there will be enclosed the schedule of the program offered by the Manassas and Fairfax groups.
