By majority vote on Monday, the Rappahannock supervisors endorsed a resolution asking the Virginia Game Commission to prohibit running deer with dogs in Rappahannock County and to institute a hunting season of equal length throughout the state.
“If we could stop the running of deer with dogs, why cut the season?” asked supervisor Hubert Gilkey.
“If one is turned down, the other will help (eliminate -hunting abuses) but to clear up the problem completely, we need both," maintained Capt. William Keim, member of the special ^committee appointed by the
