From now through the end of March is the general enrollment period for the medical insurance part of Medicare, according to Bruce A. Hundley. Social Security manager in Culpeper. During these 3 months people who passed up the chance for this protection, or who had it and dropped out, can again sign up.
Protection for people who sign up during this period will start next July I.
