Funeral services for James Virgil Jenkins, 94. of Culpeper were conducted Sunday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Flome Chapel by the Rev. Charles Clinedinst and Rev. Albert Cling. Burial was in Sperryville Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins died Thursday. January 28, 1982. at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer and employee of the Virginia Department of Highways.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Boss and Mary Burke Jenkins. He was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle at Nethers Mill.
He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Ada S. Jenkins; three sons. Ennis Jenkins and George Jenkins, both of Sperryville, and Haywood Jenkins of Falmouth; four daughters, Mrs. Lucille Rutherford and Mrs. Emma Jenkins, both of Castleton. Mrs. Margaret Jenkins of Front Royal and Mrs. Hollie Dodson of Culpeper; 45 grandchildren and 84 greatgrandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers. Alfred Jenkins of Boston and Rosser Jenkins of Manassas, and a sister, Mrs. Evie Jenkins of Manassas.
