The sign at New Adventure Hair Stylists in Amissville reads “mustaches waxed." If that brings to mind a picture from the Gay ’90s era of a dapper gentleman in a striped blazer and straw hat. waiting to have his handlebar mustache curled and oiled, try again.
At New Adventure, they’re talking about removing ladies’ mustaches, that unwelcomed shadow on the upper lip. “Everything you’ve got, we'll take it off!” joked Lois Settle, manager of the basement shop that opened last June in her home.
In addition to mustaches, they remove unwanted chin hair and leg hair with wax at New Adventure. “I'm not going to tell you that it doesn’t hurt at all but it isn’t a painful process," Lois said.
“It’s like pulling a bandaid
