Robin was one of three students nominated by her classmates for the DAR award on the basis of leadership, scholarship and patriotism. The final selection was made by the school faculty.
Along with award winners from Madison, Culpeper and Fauquier, Robin gave a speech on patriotism at the DAR meeting. The speech, her community involvement and a paper she wrote on being an American citizen will be evaluated along with those of the other nominees from this DAR district in selecting a candidate to advance on to state competition for the DAR’s good citizenship award.
