“We definitely could have won it at the foul line,” said Rappahannock coach Bob Edmondson of his team's 3538 loss to William Monroe’s Dragons at Stanardsville Tuesday night.
The Panthers grabbed the lead from the start of the game and kept their advantage until the closing minutes. Ahead 15-12 at the end of the first quarter, RCHS widened the gap to five, 25-20, by halftime, despite having starters Glenn Fletcher and Robert Myers on the bench in foul trouble during the second quarter. But the Dragons inched ahead 33-32 by the end of the third quarter.
