I he senior choir of Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill will observe its anniversary on Sunday. June 6, beginning at 3 p.m. The Rev. Carter Alsberry of Strasburg, accompanied by his choir, will be guest speaker. The public is invited.

Open House For Nurses
Nurses in the area are invited to an open house on Sunday. June 13. from 1-5 p.m. at Primavera, a treatment center for ambulatory, self-care alcoholics in a 28 day program.

Kidney Fund Radiothon
The 1982 annual Big "K" Radiothon will be held Friday, June 4 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the benefit of low income kidney patients at the Warrenton Dialysis Center. Bobbv Joe Watson will host the event and radio personalities from the surrounding areas will be pitching in to help with this worthwhile cause. Representatives from the American Kidney Fund and the Warrenton Dialysis Center will be on hand to discuss the different aspects of kidney disease and answer any questions from the station and listen to a live band. Last year’s radiothon was a huge success and many kidney patients were able to receive their treatment necessities, thanks to the generosity of listeners who gave their support. “We hope to help more kidney patients this year and 1 know through the public’s concern and support, we will be able to say ’’Yes" to a kidney patient in need’’, says K. Hatch, Executive Director of the American Kidney Fund. Businesses, churches, organizations, local groups and the general public are asked to support the Big ’’K’’ Radiothon and help a needy kidney patient.

What's a fireman’s carnival and parade without a queen? Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department is looking for a lovely young lady between the age ot 10 and 18 to reign as the 1982 carnival queen.
